Renovering / renovation
Efter modtagelse af din stol fjernes den gamle polstring og sættes tilbage til stellet, som herefter vurderes og eventuelt repareres. Ved renovering sørger vi for et helt nyt udtryk hvorefter stolen bygges om og ombetrækkes.
After receiving your chair, it is stripped down to the frame, which is then assessed and possibly repaired. During renovation, we provide a completely new interior, after which the chair is rebuilt and reupholstered.
Ompolstring / reupholstery
Hvis det indre af din stol kan holde i mange år frem, vælger vi ompolstring. Her er valget af stof, farve og struktur, der matcher rammen og dit interiør, afgørende. Det gamle stof fjernes med omhu, og det nye stof klippes til og påføres stolen.
If the interior of your chair can last for many years, we choose reupholstery. Here, the choice of fabric, colour, and texture that matches the frame and your interior is crucial. The old fabric is carefully removed, and the new fabric is cut and applied to the chair.
Firmaet ‘douts&straat’ blev grundlagt af Doutsen Deurloo-Straat. Efter mange års erfaring i interiørbranchen hos IKEA og Decorette Woonwinkel i Holland begyndte hun at skabe personlige puder af nye og genbrugsmaterialer, hundesenge og andre interiørprodukter. I 2016 begyndte Doutsen på HMC Rotterdam skole for polstring. Kun få år senere, i 2019, blev douts&straat Polstring etableret, som opererer hjemmefra. Hun startede derefter som lærling hos et anerkendt møbelfirma i 2020 for at lære alt om møbelbranchen, som skolen ikke kunne lære hende. I begyndelsen af 2022 flyttede hun til Danmark med sin mand, hvor hun i øjeblikket lærer dansk og starter sin møbelforretning fra en smuk landejendom i Skibby, tæt på København.
The firm ‘douts&straat’ was founded by Doutsen Deurloo-Straat. With many years of experience in the interior industry at IKEA and Decorette Woonwinkel in the Netherlands, she began creating personalized pillows from new and recycled materials, dog beds, and other interior items. In 2016, Doutsen enrolled at HMC Rotterdam School of Upholstery. Just a few years later, in 2019, douts&straat Upholstery was established, operating from home. She then joined as an apprentice at a renowned upholstery firm in 2020 to learn everything about the trade that school couldn’t teach. In early 2022, she moved to Denmark with her husband, currently learning Danish and starting her upholstery business from a beautiful country house in Skibby, near Copenhagen.
